We have an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Marketing Manager, Nutrition & Obesity in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.

The Sr. Marketing Manager, Nutrition & Obesity will be responsible for program planning, development and implementation of national Healthy Living initiatives, including healthy eating, physical activity, obesity prevention, and children's health strategies. Collaboratively with other team members, the Sr. Marketing Manager will coordinate and implement national strategies and programs aligning with the Association's strategic plan.

Major Responsibilities Include:
1. Manages the development of marketing programs involving marketing collateral, digital/interactive and social media, event marketing, and communications messaging.
2. Develops sponsor marketing programs and manages sponsor relationships covering program strategy, direction, timing and metrics. Provide management of strategic alliance relationships. Create periodic reports ensuring that plans support the strategic goals.
3. Assists in managing the integrated marketing calendar.
4. Manage vendor/agency relationships to ensure effective execution and timely delivery of program components.
5. Creates and maintains timelines/action plan on assigned projects to ensure thoughtful, timely development. Prepares status reports ensuring adherence to timelines.
6. Participate in strategic planning and marketing plan development.
7. Represents AHA Healthy Living initiatives externally at conventions, trade shows and other settings as needed.

Required Experience

Position Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing or advertising.
2. 10-12 years of experience managing marketing programs involving print/collateral and marketing communications.
3. Experience in event marketing, social media and interactive marketing preferred.
4. Public relations experience preferred.
5. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and project deadlines
6. Ability to influence team members without supervisory authority.
7. Able to interact professionally with all levels of staff, volunteers, professionals and the general public
8. Proficient in cross-functional team involvement and management of projects. Role works with corporate and field staff across a variety of functions.
9. Supervisory experience preferred
10. Excellent oral, proofreading, spelling and grammar skills as well as attention to detail and accuracy in all written communication.
11. Must be knowledgeable in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
12. Ability to travel, including occasional nights and weekends, up to 20% of the time.

13. Field marketing experience preferred.
