OverviewThe Cloud Ecosystem Security team is one of Microsoft's fastest growing businesses, with the mission to make the world safer and more productive for all. The team protects Azure, Microsoft's cloud platform, builds security product offerings for customers across clouds, and contributes to the global ecosystem of defenders, researchers and security policy makers. As the Software Engineer 2, you will drive product features and capabilities for a new security marketplace offering. This exciting new product will help partners build on new security platform capabilities such as Security Copilot, extend capabilities of Microsoft's existing security products (Defender, Sentinel and Purview across M365 and Azure), and offer organizations of all sizes a purpose-built, trustworthy one-stop marketplace that meets their security software needs. Thesuccessful candidate will be an experienced software developer, with a track record of collaboration working across diverse and complex teams.Deep customer empathy and the ability to translate individual customer needs into requirements for broad platform experiences is critical. This individual will be passionate about building innovative new marketplace experiences for customers and partners. Responsibilities Design, develop andoperatefeatures for a large scale commercial marketplace solution. Adhere to modern software engineering practices through designand codereviews. System design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews,leveragingdata/telemetry to make decisions. Develop "best-in-class" engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, activelymonitoredand reusable. Write clean and optimized code, improve test coverage for services, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas. Consider testability, portability/monitoring, reliability, and maintainability, and understand when code is ready to be shared and delivered. Gain a working understanding of Microsoft as a business and collaborate with mentors and leaders in order tocontribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users. Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach. Embody ourcultureandvalues.
