OverviewThe M365 Security team focuses on access control and protection solutions for Microsoft cloud infrastructure. We are seeking Software Engineer IIs for our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining services responsible for access control for Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. We own the solutions that manage secure and compliant access to the cloud infrastructure for service deployment, troubleshooting and analysis. We contribute directly to Microsoft runs on trust mission protecting customer data and privacy. We build and leverage advanced technologies in access control, authentication, authorization and secret management space. Security represents the most critical priorities for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity. ResponsibilitiesImprove application security maturity at scale by designing, implementing, and building security solutions.Partner with product managers and security leaders to ensure security maturity work is being prioritized and addressed across Microsoft 365 services.Building prototypes and proof-of-concept code, working alongside the engineering teams to provide advice on secure design and implementation.Providing design guidance and security reviews to engineering teams and improve security maturity.Security Management: Responsible for leading the development of host-based agents and cloud-based services aimed at automatically enforcing security policy and configuration of both Azure-based PaaS and SaaS services, as well as IaaS based services on Windows and Linux. We place particular focus on helping teams mitigate against practical, real world attacks based on an understanding of adversary techniques, tools, and procedures.Security Assessment team: Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a data platform at cloud-scale aimed at providing information needed to enforce security policy and improve the security posture of Microsoft's services. We place focus on helping teams identify issues and mitigate practical, real-world attacks based on an understanding of adversary techniques, tools, and procedures.Access Control and Protection: Responsible for designing, building and maintaing technical stack for authentication, secret management, just-in-time elevation and just-enough access control, protecting engineering systems and infracture.
