Qualified candidates must pass a written electrical aptitude test and formal interview process. Silgan Containers operates high speed automated metal can manufacturing facilities. | |||||||

|
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first): | |||||||
|
1. |
Requires a high degree of PLC programming and troubleshoot knowlegge. AB PLC-5, Slick 502/03/04/05, Texas Instruments and Siemens. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
2. |
Analyzes all types of circuits, wiring diagrams, PLC programs, electrical components. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
3. |
Makes schematic drawings and sketches of parts and designs and constructs adaptations or conversion of component parts. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
4. |
Fabricates parts and assemblies as required using machine and hand tools common to the trade. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
5. |
Makes mechanical and electrical repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electronic equipment, including assembling, modifying, repairing, and replacement of individual electronic parts within components, circuits, module or printed circuit boards. | ||||||

EDUCATION |
High school or equivalent, trade school required with out experience | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
EXPERIENCE |
Desired 2+ years in high speed manufacturing environment | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
REQUIRED SKILLS |
Electric and electronic trouble shooting, repair, assembly and installation. Proficient with all machine and hand tools related to the trade. | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
PREFERRED SKILLS |
PLC and electronic specialists | ||||||
|
|
| ||||||
|
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, physically fit to climb, bend and work off of lifts and platforms, mentally fit to work safely under pressure to complete tasks in timely manner. | ||||||
